Alexis Eckhoff featured in 2014 edition of Inscape

2014 Apr 28

Alexis Eckhoff was recently published in the 39th edition of Inscape, Central Methodist University's magazine of the arts. The magazine features creative works such as poetry, fiction, non-fiction, plays, paintings, drawings, and photography from over 30 different students.

The members of CMU's chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society, as well as the faculty members of the English department voted on the best pieces within each category to be honored with the annual Inscape awards.

Eckhoff is a Criminal Justice major from Houstonia.

Jane Gonzalez-Meyer and Jessica Travlos were the editors of the 2014 edition of Inscape.

In all, there were 31 students whose creative works were published, adding up to 49 different pieces between all of the categories. The winners from the first annual CMU Young Writers Day for high school students were also included in the magazine. Due to the increased interest in Inscape, the magazine was published with 88 pages, 20 pages more than in 2013.

Copies of Inscape are available in the Smiley Library on the Fayette campus of Central Methodist University or online.
