Brett Knese Named CMU Resident Hall Assistant

2016 Aug 15

Brett Knese, a senior at Central Methodist University, has been named a Resident Hall Assistant for the 2016-17 collegiate year.

Resident Hall assistants are responsible for helping facilitate safety and personal growth for students, which can involve providing emotional, social and physical support.

According to Associate Dean of Students Bradley J. Dixon, RAs are available to aid students with anything from unlocking doors to conversations about home sickness. "I am excited for this class of RAs because we have a strong group of leaders that can handle the rigors of residential life," Dixon said. "They have all shown dedication to CMU, and want to provide a safe, comfortable living environment for our students."

Knese has been assigned to Howard Payne Hall, which is a co-ed residence hall. Originally, the five-story building was part of Howard Payne University for Women. It was built in 1858, and was remodeled in 1990-1991..

Knese is from High Ridge, Mo. and is a Communication major at CMU.
