Burris African-American Student Union Officer At CMU

Central Methodist University student De Vondre Burris, from Los Angeles, Calif., is serving as chair of community service for CMU's new student organization, the African-American Student Union.

The mission of AASU is to foster a community for African-American students at CMU; to promote diversity among campus students; to build leaders; and to develop social, educational, and recreational initiatives.

Burris is a junior at CMU. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Religion and Church Leadership degree.
