As the 2013-14 academic year at Central Methodist University draws to a close, the CMU Division of Science, Mathematics and Computer Science took time to celebrate at an awards banquet on Thursday, April 24. At the banquet, Jamie Gisburne, a Freshman Communication major from Arlington was awarded the Hughes Scholarship.

Fifteen awards to 16 outstanding students, and one to an outstanding faculty member, were presented at the division's Honors Banquet, according to Dr. James "Tiger" Gordon, division chair. Several awards included a cash prize.
