Craig Performing In Last CMU Music Concert Of Semester

Central Methodist University student Gannon Craig, from Salem, Mo., will perform as part of the Concert Band in Central's final music concert of the fall semester. He will be on tuba.

The performance will take place on Sunday, Dec. 10, at 4 p.m. in Linn Memorial Church on the Fayette campus of CMU.

As always, everyone is invited and there is no admission fee.

The 68-member band is directed by Roy "Skip" Vandelicht, CMU associate professor of music and director of bands.

For its performance, the band will play "An American Fanfare" by Rick Kirby; three sections of an English Folk Song Suite by Ralph Vaughan Williams, including the march "Seventeen Come Sunday," intermezzo "My Bonnie Boy," and the march "Folk Songs from Somerset";

"They Shall Run and Be Free" by Todd Stalter; "A Simple Song" by Leonard Bernstein and arranged by Michael Sweeney; "Lights Out" by Earl McCoy and arranged by Andrew Glover (CMU Class of 1983); "A Christmas Festival" by Leroy Anderson; "Invictus" by Karl King and arranged by Glover; and "Abram's Pursuit" by CMU alumnus David Holsinger '67.

Craig is a senior currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music Education degree at CMU.
