Dodson Volunteers for CMU Spring Break

Shelby Dodson served on a spring break mission trip in Tampa, Florida on March 7 - 13 through Central Methodist University.

Dodson is a Criminal Justice major from Fayette.

The CMU Center for Faith and Service lead several students on two mission trips for the week of spring break. One group traveled to Haiti and the other to Florida.

The first group of CMU students partnered with an organization called Respire Haiti which is based out of Gressier, Haiti. Students assisted with construction work on a medical clinic, volunteered in English classes, worked with sports teams, as well as helping out in many other areas based on the organization's needs.

The second CMU mission team worked with Metropolitan Ministries in Tampa, Florida. These students volunteered their time helping the homeless. They assisted in preparing and serving meals, working in a clothing store, as well as working with after school and Head Start programs.
