Feener To Perform, Educate At CMU

Fayette, Mo. - Central Methodist University vocal music students and the public will be treated to a special appearance by Dr. Raymond Feener, associate professor of voice at the University of Missouri at Kansas City on Monday April 28.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Kountz Recital Hall of the Swinney Conservatory at CMU, and there is no admission charge. Feener will begin the class by performing a few songs Benjamin Britten and Steven Mark Kohn, accompanied by his wife, Natalia Rivera. She is currently on faculty at the University of Missouri Kansas City Conservatory of Music and Dance.

Feener will be working with students in CMU's Vocal Master Class. Those participating in the class include Austin Long (senior, Monroe City), Britney Kelcher (Fayette), Anna Kay (sophomore, Boonville), Dan Jones (junior, Saint Ann), Levi Gerke (junior, Pilot Grove) and Zach Fincher (senior, Lebanon).

Hershel Williams (junior, Springfield), Shawna Crisler (senior, Saint Clair) and Brittany Losh (senior, Pacific) will be alternates. All are students of CMU's Dr. Susan Quigley-Duggan and Dr. Ron Atteberry.
