2016 Apr 21

The Division of Science, Mathematics and Computer Science at Central Methodist University in Fayette, honored its most accomplished students at an awards banquet held on the Fayette campus on April 18.

Crystal Flagg, a Junior biology major from Erie, was awarded the Alpha Epsilon Delta Excellence in Anatomy Award. It is awarded to the student with the highest average in anatomy. Flagg was also awarded the Gamma Sigma Epsilon Excellence Award in Organic Chemistry, which goes to the student with the highest overall average in two semesters of organic chemistry.

Some of the awards are sponsored by groups or individuals who have had significance to the division through the last century while others are sponsored by campus honors groups and the faculty. Many of the awards carry a monetary stipend or scholarship; others have plaques which will have winners' names added to them.
