Foland Earns First Place in CMU Inscape Magazine

Nicholas Foland was featured in the 41st edition of Inscape, the magazine of the arts at Central Methodist University.

Foland took first place in the ten-minute play category for his play titled "Yuletide Problems." Foland also came in second place in the nonfiction category for his story titled "Was It Mercy?" and third place in poetry for his poem "When I Fell In Love." Other works by Foland being published include the poem "Bad People Everywhere" and the fiction short story "Origin of a Hero."

Foland is a junior communication studies major from Fayette.

Coordinated by the English honors society, Sigma Tau Delta, Inscape is a compilation of creative works by students, faculty and staff at CMU. Awards are given to the first, second, and third place winners for poetry, fiction, nonfiction, ten-minute plays, as well as photography, art, and drawings.

The editors of this year's magazine were Courtney Warford and Danielle Franklin and the faculty advisor was Dr. Kavita Hatwalkar.
