Forqueran on the Residential Life Staff at Central Methodist University

2014 Jul 2

Kelsey Forqueran, a Senior Communication major from Malta Bend, is a member of the 2014-15 residential staff at Central Methodist University per Salum Stutzer, CMU assistant dean of student development.

The role of the residential life staff, which includes a hall director and at least one assistant on each floor of all residence halls, is to insure that students have a successful and positive experience in the halls.

Residence life provides students with an integral part of the education that develops well-rounded individuals, according to Stutzer. Although the responsibilities of the staff are broad, they include helping facilitate personal growth for the students, including emotional, social and physical well-being.

"I am really looking forward to working with this group to serve our students," Stutzer said. "During the interview process I got to know each member of the team well; and each individual brings a skillset that will facilitate the many dimensions of student engagement within a residential life setting."
