Franklin Published in Inscape at CMU

The 40th edition of Inscape, Central Methodist University's magazine of the arts, has been released. The magazine features creative works such as poetry, fiction, non-fiction, plays, paintings, drawings, and photography from over 30 different students and staff.

Danielle Franklin won first place in the nonfiction category for her story titled "Who Will Remember Me" and second place in the fiction category for "A Path Slightly Less Traveled By." She also had a poem published. Franklin is a sophomore English major from Oak Grove.

The members of CMU's chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society, as well as the faculty members of the English department voted on the best pieces within each category to be honored with the annual Inscape awards.

The editors of this year's edition of Inscape were senior Courtney Warford and junior Kelly Jo Davis. Warford is an education student from Pattonsburg and Davis is an English major from Slater. The faculty advisor for Inscape is Dr. Kavita Hatwalkar.
