Gerke a Featured Soloist for CMU Church Street Boys

Levi Gerke performed with the Central Methodist University Church Street Boys at the annual Founder's Day Observance event for five area PEO chapters. This event was held at Hillside Baptist Church in Fayette on Saturday, Jan. 23.

Gerke is a senior music major from Pilot Grove.

Chapter AU (Fayette) was the host chapter. Attending chapters included GG (New Franklin), GO (Boonville), MJ (Boonville) and NN (Fayette).

The musical program presented by Church Street Boys, a CMU men's chorus, consisted of "Dulaman," "Poor Lonesome Cowboy," "Go Rest High on That Mountain," "If You've Only Got a Moustache," and "Nearer, My God to Thee."

The group is accompanied by Levi Gerke and directed by Dr. Ron Atteberry, adjunct professor of music.
