Henke Honored at CMU Fine and Performing Arts Awards

The rich and varied cultural arts environment at Central Methodist University was evidenced May 8 during CMU's annual Fine Arts banquet and celebration recognizing 25 fine and performing arts students.

Susan Henke, a Senior Music Education major from Salisbury, received the Sigma Alpha Iota Collegiate Honor Award, the Sigma Alpha Iota Scholastic Award, and the Dane Nelson Memorial Award.

The students were honored for excellence in music and theatre during the 2015-16 performance season, noted Dr. Dori Waggoner, chair of CMU's Fine and Performing Arts Division and dean of Swinney Conservatory of Music.
