Herndon Re-elected as CMU Student Leader

Leadership of the Student Government Association at Central Methodist University will not change in 2016-17, but that doesn't mean Jamie Gisburne and Kayla Herndon plan to maintain the status quo.

Gisburne and Herndon were re-elected recently as SGA president vice president, respectively, by their follow CMU students.

Herndon is a pre-nursing major from Houston. Herndon, when she is not providing student leadership through SGA, is on the CMU varsity women's track and field team.

"We have many new ideas to bring about more student involvement," Herndon added. "We plan to sponsor more organizations and academic and sporting events to gain student support. We are also looking to bring in more technological enhancements to enable students to keep track of all SGA-related events."

Mark Stone, CMU assistant dean of student engagement, serves as the SGA advisor.
