Johnson Honored at CMU Fine and Performing Arts Awards

The rich and varied cultural arts environment at Central Methodist University was evidenced May 8 during CMU's annual Fine Arts banquet and celebration recognizing 25 fine and performing arts students.

Parker Johnson, a Senior Computer Science major from Richmond, received the S. Fred Rhoads Award for Best Male Actor in a Leading Role and the Dr. Joseph E. Geist Award In Performing Arts.

The students were honored for excellence in music and theatre during the 2015-16 performance season, noted Dr. Dori Waggoner, chair of CMU's Fine and Performing Arts Division and dean of Swinney Conservatory of Music.
