Morris honored by the CMU Division of Social Science

Central Methodist University presented a total of ten special awards to eight Social Sciences Division students Saturday, May 14, on the CMU campus in Fayette.

Joseph Morris, a history major from Glasgow received the Dr. Robert Barker Award for Excellence in Sociology, the Dr. Harold Sunoo Award for Excellence in History and Political Science, and the Pi Gamma Mu Award for Scholastic Excellence.

The students were recognized during a ceremony held just prior to 2016 Commencement exercises, according to Dr. Elizabeth Gold, associate professor of psychology and chair of the Social Sciences Division. Awards were shared in two instances. All eight students were part of the 2016 graduation class at CMU.
