Pelley and Williams to Present Senior Recital

2014 Nov 7

Two senior music students will present their joint senior recital on Sunday, Nov. 9, at 4 p.m. in the Kountz Recital Hall on the campus of Central Methodist University in Fayette.

Ann Marie Pelley, a senior from St. Peters, will perform on trumpet. She is a student of Dr. John Perkins, associate professor of music. Last year at the Missouri Music Teachers Association (MMTA) competition, Pelley took first place in the state in the Collegiate Brass - Upper Level division for her trumpet playing. She plays trumpet in Marching Band and Concert Band, and she plays piano in the CMU Jazz Band, as well as accompanying students and playing in small ensembles.

Senior Hershel Williams III is a tenor from Fayette. He is a student of Dr. Ron Atteberry, adjunct professor of music. Williams also plays the piano. He is currently a member of the touring Chorale, the Conservatory Singers, and the Church Street Boys, who have been invited to sing for the Missouri Music Educators Association (MMEA) Conference in January at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Both students present this recital in partial fulfillment of the Bachelor of Music Education degree.
