Retzlaff Awarded In CMU Division Of Health Professions

Central Methodist University student Jennifer Retzlaff, from Lake Lotawana, Mo. , was recently awarded by CMU's Division of Health Professions.

At the end of each academic year, the Division recognizes students for excellence in their fields of study.

For 2016-17, 37 nursing students received pins, and six nursing and athletic training students were honored with special awards.

Retzlaff, a nursing major, received her nursing pin. Traditionally, nursing pins are worn to identify the school from which a nurse graduated. When a student receives one, it is presented as a symbolic "welcome" into the nursing profession. .
