Roberts is Part of CMU Little Theatre One-Acts

Katie Roberts is the director of one of four one-act plays that will be performed in the Little Theatre on the campus of Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo. Roberts is the director for "By the Sea, by the Sea, by the Beautiful Sea,' by Joe Pintauro.

"By the Sea, by the Sea, by the Beautiful Sea" is actually a trilogy of connected one-acts, all happening by the sea. The one used in this presentation is called "Dawn." In this act, a man, his wife, and his sister have gone to the ocean to scatter their mother's ashes. Although the action is a form of closure, it also opens up hidden marital wounds and sibling rivalries that have never been confronted before.

Students majoring in Central Methodist University's theatre program direct a one-act play as part of their degree requirements. Performances will be held on Thursday, Dec. 10, at 8:30 p.m. and Friday, Dec. 11, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Roberts is a theatre arts major from Wildwood.
