Rogers Earns Athletic Honors at CMU

Kaitlyn Rogers earned the Mark Robb 'Team First' Award at Central Methodist University. This award is given to a student-athlete from each sport that puts the team before themselves. Rogers was also recognized for being named a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.

In addition, Rogers was recognized for representing the golf team on the Champions of Character Council. Champions of Character is a program though the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics that encourages a positive culture of sport through its five core values which are integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership. As a member of the Champions of Character Council, students play an active role in bringing these values to CMU. Rogers was one of over 140 student-athletes to be recognized at the annual CMU athletics banquet for their achievements during the year.

Rogers is a sophomore accounting major from Carl Junction.
