Rogers Steps Up As 'Peer-to-Peer' Leader At CMU

2017 Aug 31

Central Methodist University student Kaitlyn Rogers, from Carl Junction, Mo., is helping guide, mentor, and support fellow students through "Peer-to-Peer" at the CMU campus in Fayette.

More than 50 students are involved in the student organization, which is comprised of tutors, library assistants, lab assistants, and writing associates. These leaders help their peers develop strategies to master course content, and develop the skills necessary for success.

"Peer-to-Peer provides the foundation of a community that supports faculty and students as CMU lives its mission," said Maryann Rustemeyer, director of CMU's Center for Learning and Teaching, and associate professor of English and mathematics. "These young men and women are an important part of the academic life at CMU."

Rogers is a senior currently pursuing a Bachelor of Accountancy degree in accounting.
