Roy Honored at CMU Fine and Performing Arts Awards

The rich and varied cultural arts environment at Central Methodist University was evidenced May 8 during CMU's annual Fine Arts banquet and celebration recognizing 25 fine and performing arts students.

Breilly Roy, a Junior Marine Biology major from Trenton, received the S. Fred Rhoads Award for the Best Female Actor in a Leading Role, the S. Fred Rhoads Award for Most Versatile Player, and the Mike Magyar Fine Arts Leadership Award.

The students were honored for excellence in music and theatre during the 2015-16 performance season, noted Dr. Dori Waggoner, chair of CMU's Fine and Performing Arts Division and dean of Swinney Conservatory of Music.
