Smith Places At KCNATS Competition

Central Methodist University student Aiden Smith, from Fayette, Mo., placed first in the men's upper division in voice at the recent Kansas City National Association of Teachers of Singing (KCNATS) competition.

Smith is from the studios of Dr. Susan Quigley-Duggan, CMU associate professor of voice and opera, and Dr. Laura Wiebe, CMU assistant professor of music, at the Swinney Conservatory of Music at CMU.

Accompanying Smith were collaborative pianists Mary Jane Nance and Dr. Barb Berwin, CMU professor of music.

Smith is a senior currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree at CMU.
