Smith to Tour with CMU Chorale this fall

Aiden Smith is a member of Central Methodist University's premier vocal music group, Chorale, which will perform throughout the fall semester on campus in Fayette, and in schools and churches across the state of Missouri.

Smith is a senior vocal performance and music education major from Waynesville.

Leading the CMU Chorale is Dr. Claude R. Westfall, who joined CMU in 2008. He is associate professor music and director of choral activities for Central's Swinney Conservatory of Music Westfall obtained his doctorate in curriculum and instruction in music education with an emphasis in choral conducting from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Zack Fincher is the Chorale manager. The Chorale's accompanist, Dr. Melissa Loehnig, is an assistant professor of music in piano and theory at CMU who obtained her doctorate in piano performance from Florida State University.

Chorale is an auditioned chamber choir with members from any major. They perform many different styles of music both on and off campus. They tour across sections of Missouri every fall.
