Stokes Places At KCNATS Competition

Central Methodist University student DaSean Stokes, from Saint Robert, Mo., took third place in the musical theatre upper division at the recent Kansas City National Association of Teachers of Singing (KCNATS) competition.

Stokes is from the studios of Dr. Susan Quigley-Duggan, CMU associate professor of voice and opera, and Dr. Laura Wiebe, CMU assistant professor of music, at the Swinney Conservatory of Music at CMU.

Accompanying Stokes were collaborative pianists Mary Jane Nance and Dr. Barb Berwin, CMU professor of music.

Stokes is a senior currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree at CMU.
