Wilken To Perform In 'A Magical Night of Operetta Delights'

Central Methodist University student Kay Wilken, a music education major from Cole Camp, Mo., will perform in "A Magical Night of Operetta Delights" this summer.

This combination of operetta selections will fall roughly into four categories, including early American, mid-century musicals, The Mikado, and Viennese opera. Almost all will be sung in English.

The performances are being put on by CMU's Summer Opera and will be held at the Kountz Recital Hall in the Swinney Conservatory of Music. Shows will be on Friday, June 9 and Saturday, June 10 at 7:30 p.m.; and on Sunday, June 11 at 4 p.m. The cost is $7 for general admission and $5 for seniors, CMU faculty and staff.
