Wilmes Earns Athletic Honors at CMU

Jessica Wilmes was named a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete in softball at Central Methodist University. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status. She was also recognized for earning all conference accolades and for her leadership as team captain.

Wilmes was one of over 140 student-athletes to be recognized at the annual CMU athletics banquet for their achievements during the year.

Wilmes is a senior athletic training major from Foristell.

CMU offers 14 different athletic teams and is a member of the Heart of America Athletic Association and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. For more information about CMU athletics please visit the website.
