Wimberley To Perform In CMU's 'Vagina Monologues'

2017 Feb 15

Central Methodist University student Abby Wimberley, from Independence, Mo., will perform in CMU's presentation of 'Vagina Monologues' - an award-winning play by Eve Ensler.

The event will take place on both Thursday, Feb. 23 and Friday, Feb. 24 at 7:30 p.m. in CMU's Little Theatre on the main campus in Fayette. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged and appreciated as the proceeds earned will benefit Safe Passage - a domestic violence and crisis intervention center in Moberly, Mo.

The cast will read monologues based on a compilation of true stories told by women about their vaginas, with experiences ranging from surprising, to humorous, to emotional.

The topics and language in the play are recommended for a mature audience, as they may be considered offensive or inappropriate. CMU recommends researching the play prior to attending the production.

Wimberley is a junior at CMU. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Theatre Arts degree.
